Quizás el nombre de LizzWright no os suene mucho, pero una vez que la oigáis cantar su voz se os quedará en la mente. Está considerada como una de las divas de la música negra actual, mezcla jazz, pop, blues, con sonidos de auténtico gospel, por algo su padre era predicador en Georgia.

Os dejamos una de sus canciones más pegadizas, My Heart, no dejéis de buscarla, es sorprendente, está compuesta por ella misma.

Este tema pertenece al disco The orchard (la huerta) y todo él es un viaje al corazón (en el sentido de latir) de los Estados Unidos. El mejor piropo que le han dicho, se lo dijo Billie Holiday en un homenaje en el que Lizz participó, “tiene una voz condenadamente hermosa y además piensa”.
