Edward Maya (su nombre real es Eduard Marian Ilie) nació el 29 de junio de 1986 en Bucarest, Rumanía. Edward es un talentosos cantante, compositor, DJ y productor de música electrónica que logró hacerse muy popular desde que comenzó su carrera con apenas 19 años.

A mediados de 2009, Edward Maya lanzó su primer sencillo llamado “Stereo Love”, que en pocos días se posicionó en el puesto número 1 de los rankings rumanos. Poco después, la canción se hizo también popular en otros países y hoy suena en todas las radios del mundo.
